The whole reason we decided to not stay in Nice and explore Provence was for the wine. It’s the land of rosé and we’re big fans. We decided to let our bed and breakfast host at La Belugue help us plan our one full day in Provence. Kicked off the day with breakfast at La Belugue, then packed up the defender for our adventure. The first stop, Chateau La Coste. This modern meets classic Provençal winery was absolutely breathtaking. When you walked in it felt like you were walking into a mid-century art gallery. But as soon as you turned another corner, you were greeted by charming classic chateaus with light blue shutters, a classic Provence color.
We walked the property a bit and saw some incredible structures and pieces of art installations. Then we headed to the important stuff. Wine tasting! I mean this is THE reason why we came here, right? We did a quick tasting and tried the bubbles (which was my favorite) their classic, delicious white and then finished with a red. After our tasting, we had a few minutes to spare before our lunch reservation at La Terrasse, their stunning patio restaurant that was delicious. We browsed the shop and checked out their curated pieces from beautiful Provence beauty products, olive oils and of course, their wines. Each of us ended up bringing home a bottle a piece to enjoy. I love to bring home something food related when I travel.
