The weather in Atlanta has been strangely warm. Like a gorgeous 65 where I can take Pork on a nice long walk in a short sleeve tee (not so much the case in NYC today though…). It was kind of nice because for the first time ever on my birthday, it was warm. For the record, that NEVER happens. So what do you do when it’s unseasonably warm? You whip out the short floral skirts. And since I spent pretty much all summer in this Express skirt in every print they had, I thought I’d take out my latest version with pretty winter florals on it for a spin. And yes, because I needed another one thank you very much. Since it’s still January though, I left the open toed shoes at home and went for my go to over the knee boots. Little envious now of people with birthdays in warmer months…lucky you.

I think this print is so fun to wear in the winter and all you have to do is use the right accessories. Winter florals are totally a thing. Unlike you know, in the spring too. We know, they’re kinda of always a thing. Just always keep in mind that winter florals should reflect winter. Darker jewel tones are always a good idea, and also adding the right accessories. Tights, booties, leather, you name it, add it to help winterize the florals even more. PS check out this winter floral maxi for some more inspiration.
